Responsibilities:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and obtain medical histories
- Utilize medical imaging and CAD technology to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Dentrix or similar software
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and practice aseptic technique
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Specialize in pediatric dentistry or other areas as needed
Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Proficiency in performing dental procedures with precision and efficiency
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral diseases, and treatment options
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar practice management software for medical documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices
- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of advancements in dentistry through continuing education
