Role Description
The Offshore Structural Engineer is a full-time on-site role and is located in Lafayette, LA. The Offshore Structural Engineer is responsible for the design of steel structures related to new and existing onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. This includes structural steel skids and platforms, bridges, towers, steel buildings, cable tray and pipe supports as well as modification to existing structures. The Offshore Structural Engineer will ensure the technical quality and accuracy of the work produced as well as collaborate with the clients, sub vendors, design team and support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- FE license preferred
- Strong knowledge and skill with MathCAD, MS Excel and MS Word
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Requires the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
