JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION
The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving additional product sales within the existing customer base. The representative accomplishes their role by creating and executing targeted marketing campaigns to generate leads and build the pipeline for the business development department. Ideal candidates can thrive as a team player in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and possess a high level of salesmanship and business professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes customer base for sales opportunities.
- Promote and offer products and services by consulting with customers, evaluating their needs, and offering solutions that address those needs.
- Prospects for sales opportunities through CRM analysis, cold calling, and email.
- Collaborates with marketing to execute product-specific sales campaigns.
- Leverage CRM for campaign execution.
- Handles sales leads escalated by Customer Care, Support, and Services teams.
- Handles proactive sales transactions, specifically new software purchases that are not within the customer's existing system and complex hardware purchases.
- Accurately process orders per specified guidelines and policies.
- Develop a high-level mastery of the ECRS product offerings and their various configurations.
- Build excellent rapport and confidence with customers, specifically focused on top tier customers.
- Attend annual conferences and trade shows.
- Conduct site visits alongside account managers as needed.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of customer service or sales experience (for example: call center, retail, insurance, upselling, etc.).
- Past success in achieving sales goals.
- Ability to articulate product value and overcome sales objections and negotiate when needed.
- Solid understanding of computer basics (Microsoft Office Suite, Operating Systems, CRMs, and the Internet). Experience using an ERP system a plus.
- The capacity to work independently.
- Proven oral and written communication skills.
- Logical problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining a high energy level and exceptional attention to detail.
- Friendly demeanor with the ability to understand and empathize with customers' business needs.
- The ability to seek opportunities, develop successful sales strategies, and implement them.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to deliver engagingly.
