Position Summary
The Magnet Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program, including Magnet Designation and Magnet Redesignation processes. This role will also provide support for policy and procedure management, shared decision-making councils, specialty certification, DAISY program, and nursing data management. Under the direction of the Director, Magnet & Nursing Professional Practice, the Magnet Program Coordinator will be assigned work based on the organizational needs to support the nursing professional practice environment and achievement of nursing excellence.
Responsibilities
Magnet Program
- Support and coordinate activities required to maintain Magnet Program Designation/Redesignation and ensure ongoing compliance with American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet standards.
- Assists Director with submission process and documentation requirements for the Magnet Program application, re-designation evidence submission, annual and interim reporting and the Demographic Data Collection Tool (DDCT) to meet all established deadlines set forth by ANCC.
Collaborative Partnerships & Communication
- Strategically manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Contract Management
DAISY Program
Support the DAISY program, including oversight for nomination and voting processes, supply inventory, event coordination, and communication with national DAISY program office. Provide support for other nursing recognition programs and awards as assigned.Specialty Certification Program
- Supports nursing professional certification policy and voucher/reimbursement processes.
Policy and Procedure Management
- Serve as administrator for PolicyStat and Elsevier, providing management and oversight for policy and procedure approvals, editing, formatting, downtime procedures, and communication with policy owners.
Shared Decision Making Councils
Data Management
Develop and enhance systems and processes for collecting and analyzing accurate and reliable data related to program metrics, outcomes and key performance indicators.Operations Management
- Proactively analyze and respond to environmental trends and issues to promote continuous improvement and achieve superior quality, experience, and financial outcomes.
- Formulate and implement strategic solutions and initiatives aligned with organizational and development goals.
- Manage and allocate financial and material resources based on comprehensive analysis of needs and goals, aligning with the organizational strategic plan.
- Provide administrative support with event coordination, budgeting, e-procurement, travel and expense reports, time and attendance, web page development and maintenance, and other duties as assigned to support nursing administration.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor degree is required. Preferably in a health related degree or business administration.
- 1 to 3 years related work experience is required.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams is required.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and experience managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Requirements
- Business analytics, healthcare data analysis experience is preferred.
