Position Summary
Perform clinical support services, assist with secretarial/clerical duties and maintain patient care documentation in medical records.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for various secretarial, clerical and receptionist activities.
- Answer phones, greet patients, screen calls. Schedule patient appointments.
- Assist with charge entry on a timely basis.
- Purchase and distribute office and medical supplies.
- Perform clinical support services within protocol and upon completion of proper training and competency evaluation.
- Assist medical providers with patient care services as requested.
- Perform health screenings (vision, blood pressure, weight and vitals), collect blood collection and/or phlebotomy blood collection for lab tests.
- Collect health risk appraisals and/or patient histories.
- Maintains all patient care related documentation in patients' medical records in a timely manner.
- Verifies consistency and accuracy of clinical information entered into patient charts.
- Prepares charts, maintains and updates forms and prepares documentation paperwork.
- Maintains and monitors medical record documentation and filing. Correctly files all patient documentation verifying accuracy and completion of content.
Minimum Requirements
- HS graduate or equivalent (or higher) required.
- One to two years of formal medical assistant or nurse aide training preferred.
- Substitution: Formal medical assistant or nursing aide training may be substituted with six months current full time experience in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or CNA.
- American Heart Association BLS Required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
One late night per week (rotating) 9am-6pm
