Position Summary
Receive supplies and equipment from shippers into the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Help unload trucks and/or receive supplies and equipment; signs receiving documents; opens packages
- Compares items received with items listed on packing lists and applicable purchase orders, checking for damaged goods and quantities received; documents receiving information such as date received, how delivered, who ordered, etc.
- Maintains freight bill and other shipping/receiving records; enters receipts into the computer.
- Will be an effective user of the Lawson system as applies to receiving.
- Delivers supplies and equipment to applicable departments and has receiving papers signed as necessary; maintaining required documentation.
- Deliveries of equipment and computers are made to outside hospital departments including the data center. Ship packages and other items via UPS or other freight carriers, maintaining required documentation.
- Courier duties are assumed on weekends as mail is picked up at the hospital and supplies are delivered to outside departments.
- Apply hospital property stickers to capital equipment as it is received and maintain necessary documentation; clean receiving area, loading docks and/or warehouse; rotate stock; make inventory counts; maintains or checks records or enters data into the computer and/or distributes copies of packing lists and other receiving/shipping records as necessary/ performs other duties as assigned; sticks shelves for all items in stockroom inventory. Pick up equipment for salvage/storage.
- Coordinate with departments with reference to paperwork and scheduling equipment for pick up/delivery.
- Keeps area neat and orderly; Boxes and trash are removed promptly; Floor is swept; Pallets and other items are in order. Demonstrates appropriate, caring behavior in the workplace.
- Treating patients, their families, visitors and staff with respect and dignity. Demonstrates cultural attributes in the workplace.
- Will be an effective user of the Lawson system as applies to receiving.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 3-12 months in a related field.
- Day Shift
- Monday - Friday; 9A-6P
- No On Call
- No Weekends
