Roles & Responsibilities
- Follow all procedures as written.
- Abide by all safety requirements, wear required PPE at all times.
- Complete all required safety and operational training on time.
- Arrive on time for your shift or ensure you have notified your supervisor ahead of time.
- Operate all equipment and supporting services in accordance with written procedures and with required product specifications in mind. Equipment includes boiler, cooling tower, feed system, vacuum system, air compressor and dryer, electrical controls.
- Maintain proper procedures for tank farm utilizing tanks, lines, manifolds, gauges, fittings, gaskets and hoses.
- Troubleshoot and make basic repairs as able to equipment. Report any required maintenance to your supervisor promptly.
- Monitor all process streams for purity hourly, utilizing lab testing equipment including gas chromatograph, Karl Fischer titrator, pH titrator, colorimeter, and viscometer.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance of lab equipment.
- Maintain all necessary hourly records as required for process history and quality testing.
- Ensure all hoses, fittings, tanks and lines are cleaned after each use.
- Load and Unload tankers according to written procedure. - Inspect all tanks and equipment regularly for leaks or failure and report any found to maintenance or supervisor immediately.
- Maintain proper housekeeping throughout facility at all times.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- No prior felonies, background check and drug screening required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude. Prior experience with pumps, tanks, motors, boiler, industrial maintenance.
- Computer literate and familiar with word and excel.
- Able to take and follow instruction.
- Physically capable; able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended time periods.
Process Technician Levels
- 3rd class – in training on one or both systems
- 2nd class – Capable of running 1 system independently
- 1st class – Capable of running both systems independently
