Analyst & Simulation Developer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Work Environment: Onsite, full time
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Analyst & Simulation Developer to support a Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Product Team focused on command-and-control systems for missile defense. This role contributes to system-level performance analysis of complex defense architectures and their interaction with current and future missile defense elements.
The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, experience with modeling and simulation, and the ability to clearly communicate technical findings in support of mission-critical national defense objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on experience and may include:
- Plan and execute performance analyses of large-scale command-and-control and missile defense systems
- Analyze interactions between system components and current/future missile defense elements
- Develop, execute, test, and troubleshoot complex system models and simulations
- Create and evaluate missile defense threat scenarios
- Develop analysis and simulation tools using MATLAB and Python
- Provide data to support modeling assumptions, system representations, and simulation parameters
- Document findings through technical reports, briefings, and presentations
- Present analysis results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with product teams, leadership, government customers, and technical subject matter experts
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
- Strong engineering foundation supporting conceptual and detailed system-level analysis
- Basic understanding of analysis workflows including planning, execution, and reporting
- Hands-on experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work onsite full time
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline
- Experience with discrete event simulation modeling
- Data analysis experience using MATLAB and Python
- Exposure to tactical and strategic weapon and sensor message standards
- Software development experience in a Linux and Agile environment
- Proficiency with:
- MATLAB (strongly preferred)
- Python (strongly preferred)
- Java, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience using Git or other version control systems
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Radar design and performance analysis
- Strategic and tactical missile threat modeling
- Simulation of complex systems
- Requirements analysis and test condition decomposition
