Summary:
The Wire Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Wire Warehouse Manager in achieving total branch performance in accordance with company policy and procedures. Oversees wire inventory management, operational workflows, and quality assurance within the Wire Warehouse. This role ensures accurate inventory records, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with material specifications while driving process improvements for efficiency and organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervises wire warehouse personnel.
- Oversees daily wire warehouse activities. Manages workflow to assist staff in balancing priorities, providing backup support if needed, and otherwise ensuring that all work is accomplished with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Periodically evaluates the performance of branch personnel.
Provide both formal and informal feedback on a regular basis.
Disciplines employees when needed.
- Participate in the recruiting and interviewing process of new employees.
Maintain accurate records of wire inventory, including incoming shipments, usage, and stock levels.
Implement and monitor inventory controls systems to minimize discrepancies and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Ensure all wire locations are correctly updated in the system.
Perform lot changes for outgoing wire orders from the previous day.
Replace reels for orders promptly and update system with correct lot numbers.
Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to forecast material needs and schedule deliveries.
Inspect incoming wire and materials for quality and specification compliance.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handline to maintain material integrity.
Prepare regular inventory reports for management review.
Track and resolve inventory variances promptly.
Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve efficiency.
Implement best practices for wire warehouse organization and workflow optimization.
Trains warehouse employees to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standard work instructions, productivity, and safety.
Ensures safety of all employees, seeing that rules are followed, hazardous conditions are corrected, and equipment and vehicles are properly maintained.
Foster strong working relationships with other departments.
Through management decisions, communication, and behavior, create a culture and team that works together to meet customer needs and achieve desired results.
Promote an environment of empowerment, respect and trust while holding team members accountable for their actions.

Education &
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience in electrical business.
- Experience successfully leading, supervising or coordinating teams.
