Overview
Edgewater is seeking a Senior System Administrator - MS Exchange to support a major national laboratory. As part of the Enterprise Collaboration Services (ECS), responsible for the ownership, architecture, development, and implementation of many of enterprise computing services and platforms. These include email architecture and service delivery (Microsoft Exchange), and collaboration architectures {SharePoint infrastructure and advanced SharePoint development). These services are provided across all of multiple networks, to include classified. We are also starting to implement and support the O365 services (Exchange Online, MS Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, etc.)
Responsibilities
Work autonomously or as a team member/lead to administer and maintain the daily activities concerning monitoring, maintenance, and repair of physical and virtual Server based systems. Develop Quality Control/Operation processes and conducts Quality Assurance checks. Collaborate with customers, Subject Matter Experts, architects to create system requirements. Collaborate with customers, SME’s, architects, and other system administrators on the analysis, evaluation, and preparation of recommendations for system development, improvements, and optimization.
The primary responsibility of the Exchange System Administrator is to:
- Provide technical support for email infrastructure and related messaging technologies including Exchange 2016/2019, SMTP email gateways and DLP.
- Troubleshoot, support and configuration of Microsoft Exchange Online and perform tasks using M365 portals (Exchange Admin, Microsoft Purview, Defender, EOP).
- Develop and support scripted automation using PowerShell scripts.
- Utilize experience and knowledge with enterprise security to resolve issues with SSL, certificates, authentication mechanisms including domain authentication, OAuth/Modern Authentication and Kerberos.
- Create and update technical documentation, develop architectural drawings.
Qualifications
- Work Location: Hybrid, can work from home within ABQ Metro. Must go onsite when needed (classified work,etc.)
- Ability to obtain & maintain a Dept. of Energy Q Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; equivalent experience may be substituted for degree.
- Advanced level skills working with Microsoft Exchange
- 4 years’ experience working as a System Administrator
- Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to adhere to project schedule
Desired:
- Active DOE or DOD security clearance
