Job Title: MEP Designer (Revit)
The MEP Designer is responsible for the design, coordination, and documentation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems using Revit. This role supports project engineers and project managers by producing accurate construction documents and coordinated building models in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify MEP system layouts and models using Revit
- Produce construction drawings, plans, sections, and details
- Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural models
- Assist with system sizing, layouts, and equipment placement under engineer supervision
- Perform basic clash detection and resolve coordination issues
- Maintain Revit models in accordance with company standards
- Incorporate redlines and design revisions efficiently and accurately
- Support project documentation through various phases (SD, DD, CD)
- Communicate design issues with project team members
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of MEP design or drafting experience preferred
- Proficiency in Revit (MEP) required
- Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
