4th / 5th- grade Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver standards-aligned instruction in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science Social Studies) tailored to both 4th and 5th grade students.
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to meet a range of learning needs and styles.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom culture that promotes student agency and collaboration.
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly; use data to inform instruction.
• Communicate Effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student learning and development.
• Collaborate with grade-level and specialist teachers as needed.
• Participate in professional development and school meetings.
• Use Friday planning time effectively to prepare lessons, review student data, and coordinate with colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching credential for upper elementary grades (required or in progress)
• Strong Classroom management and instructional skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for mixed-grade classrooms.
• Experience teaching combination classes (preferred)
• Strong skills using assessment data to guide instruction
• Experience working in schools with a 4-day instruction week.
• Current and valid IVP card required
