Community Relations Officer

Territory:  Central Valley/Central Coast The Community Relations Officer is responsible for outreach activities within the communities that we serve. The Community Relations Officer will promote the credit union by attending trade shows, school district events, and community events in the Central Valley and the Central Coast. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of financial wellness activities. Will give presentations and hold question and answer sessions. Responsibilities of the position: Provides financial wellness presentations to a wide range of student and adult populations  Develops and maintains a rapport with the appropriate business and educational communities  Promotes new business by identifying specific target groups within the field of membership  Ensures that personal contact is made with members and prospective members, as necessary  Continuously monitors outside vendors and adapts materials to fit the needs of EECU members, school districts, classrooms and potential members  Develops relationships with community representatives and organizations  Provide support and assistance to branch management with school event participation  Researches school locations within a specified area of influence and develops a calendar of visitations to various school sites and affiliated locations.   Requirements of the position: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the public, managers and employees  Bachelor’s Degree or five years of experience in financial institution sales, public relations related activities or teaching  Ability to write reports and business correspondence  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others  Spanish speaking is desired, but not required   Experience the difference with Educational Employees Credit Union, ranked #3 in California in Forbes' annual list of America's Best Credit Unions. EECU promotes a positive work environment while providing outstanding member service. EECU offers a competitive benefits package, including employer contribution of 6% to 401k.  Salary: $1757/mo. - $3141/mo.*Please note that EECU requires all new employees to be fully vaccinated within 8 weeks of a job offer.*
