SUMMARY : In this role, you will lead a small group of 10-15 seasonal production employees in our Carrollton facility. Our seasonal production staff is made up of a diverse and dynamic group that includes a broad range of cultures and ages from 16-year-old first-time job workers to retirees coming back to work for a summer. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a professional environment, providing guidance, instructions, and direction to the group. In this role, you will also at times be required to take on the responsibilities of general production staff which could include order selection, packaging, or other additional tasks.
SEASONAL PRODUCTION CAPTAIN ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure safety for oneself and all employees regardless of who their direct report is.
- Oversee, train, and assist staff working on tasks.
- Set a good example.
- Establish clear expectations and goals.
- Communicate to supervisor / manager any areas of concern as they arise.
- Maintain established workplace rules, policies, and procedures.
- Must be able to work on foot for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 35lbs or more.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned which may include working in any aspects of Operations or other departments.
