What are the responsibilities and job description for the Para-Professional (Classroom Aide) position at Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio?
Lakewood City schools is seeking a Monday-Thursday 6 hours per day (1 hour unpaid lunch) Special Education Preschool Classroom Assistant (Para-Professional) position for employment for the 2023-2024 school year.
The position is to assist preschool students with Autism and multiple disabilities.
Qualified candidate will be assigned to Lakewood City Schools and provide supervision to preschool age students position. Childcare experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma
2. Minimum of an educational aide certificate required. Paraprofessional license desired.
3. Prior experience working in an educational classroom setting, preferably preschool.
4. Demonstrated aptitude for the tasks involved.
5. Be courteous, tactful and understanding of young people.
6. Desire, ability, and patience to assist and work with students with special needs in learning.
