Job Title : Surgical Assistant - 1st Assist
Location : Lawrenceville, Georgia, 30046
Type : 13 weeks contract
Schedule Details :
Fulltime - Monday through Friday 10 hour days (0600-1630) with a varying day off.
Plus rotating nights, weekend & holiday call divided evenly amongst the first assistants.
Call is typically 1-2 weekdays (Mon-Thurs) and 1-2 weekends (Fri-Sat-Sun) per 6 week schedule.
Minimum Qualifications :
Surgical assistants must have current credentials of Certified Surgical First Assistant (NBSTSA), Certified Surgical Assistant (NCCSA), or Surgical Assistant-Certified (ABSA).
Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR experience.
Department Details :
We do 4-6 open heart surgeries a day. (CABG, AVR, MVR, Minimally invasive Mitrals, Ascending Aortas, Myxomas, Impellas)
On average the First Assists are having to do 2 cases a day.
