Position Summary:
Processes orders for service parts & equipment and maintains stock levels on field technician's service trucks. "Customers" include Store Managers, Field Technicians, and Shop Technicians. Provides excellent customer service by using parts knowledge to advise alternatives & ensure order accuracy, as well as providing proactive order status updates. Coordinates parts delivery driver routes to optimize deliveries.
Responsibilities:
• Receive, interprets, and process orders for parts, supplies, and equipment
• Determines parts sourcing (internal/supplier) and most efficient delivery method
• Communicates with customer regarding status and notifies upon delivery
• Proactively restocks trucks, reviews allocations to ensure stock levels are maintained • Coordinates delivery driver routes
• Receives, unpacks, and restocks items in parts warehouse. Packs and ships parts orders.
• Performs Cycle and Physical Inventory counts
Working Relationships: Internal: Service Manager, Store Managers, Field and Shop Technicians, Delivery Driver, OEM Equipment manufacturers, Supply Vendors, Construction personnel
Minimum Education: a high school diploma or its equivalent
Preferred Education: Applicable trade School or Training program. Manufacturer’s equipment certifications
Minimum Experience: 2-4 years service parts experience, including usage of computer inventory management system
Preferred Experience: 4 years experience Field Service Parts, experience in hot/cold beverage and kitchen equipment
Licenses/Certifications: Required Courses and Training Programs (if Applicable)
Soft Skills: Customer service and communication skills; verbal and written
Hours & Conditions: 9:30am - 6:00pm M-F ; Warehouse Conditions
Driving Requirement: May occasionally assist with deliveries, must be approved to operate company vehicles
Travel: Infrequent
Physical:
- Can lift 50 lbs Grasping/Griping/fine manipulation.
- Pushing/pulling/Bending/kneeling/twisting/climbing on a regular basis.
- Carrying/setting/walking/standing and lifting above shoulder level on a regular basis.
