Overview:
Egan Company is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Industrial Engineer located in Champlin, MN. The Industrial Engineer is an exciting role within our engineering team. In this role, you will be interfacing with all levels within the company and externally. You will help create better processes and programs, to aid in our day-to-day business operations.
*** This role could also be a Hybrid role, working in Champlin, MN office and at home.***
Responsibilities:

Enhance existing programs/systems to improve flow and accuracy.

Interface with many levels of people within the company to determine the best methods to improve efficiencies and create/modify programs to institute changes.

Design efficient production processes that reduce general waste and productivity waste.
-
Produce and analyze reports from collected data regarding quality and efficiency.
-
Recommend cost-saving measures.
-
Evaluate data to drive improvements.
-
Evaluate current processes, employee tasks, and responsibilities to ensure the highest levels of efficiency.

Work with manufacturing to maximize the efficiency of our shop support software.
-
Hold periodic supplier audits with key vendors.
-
Assist engineering, manufacturing, and PMs with best-practice manufacturing techniques

Develop and maintain work instructions and job aids
-
Advise and develop new software tools, mechanical jigs, and fixtures to increase efficiency and increase quality.

Work with onboarding new customer designs.
-
All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Preferred - Four-year degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering degree.

Minimum - 2 years of experience in the field of manufacturing, quality control, process improvement, or related.

Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, Google Suite, Internet, and PC hardware.

TCP/IP and networking are preferred.

Must be able to work as an individual contributor and as part of a team.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Possess the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.

Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with end users and vendors.

Strong organizational skills to deal with customer needs and competing priorities.
Working Environment:
-
Performance of duties mainly in the office and hybrid between home and office with occasional visits to job sites to support field personnel.

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
