What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouser position at EHC?
EHC is currently looking for a Warehouser for a client located in Houston, TX. This is a temp to hire position.
WORKING HOURS:
Day Shift: START TIME IS 6:00 AM. THERE IS AN ALERTATING SCHEDULE FOR THE SHIFT END TIMES. 2:30 PM WILL BE FOR ONE WEEK, WHICH WILL INCLUDE A MANDATORY 8-HOUR SHIFT ON SATURDAY. THE FOLLOWING WEEK WILL HAVE AN END TIME OF 4:30 PM WITH NO SATURDAY SHIFT.
JOB ROLE: Our Warehousers are an essential part of our supply chain team. As a Warehouse you will work as part of a team to coordinate warehouse operations and complete workflows in order, according to schedule. This is a great opportunity for an individual to be a part of an amazing team!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in Shipping or Receiving when needed.
- Read appropriate warehouse documentation to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed or shipped.
- Move items to appropriate areas.
- Record amounts of materials or items moved into computer database.
- Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Assist with maintaining inventory records by posting materials received and disbursed, writing shortage lists and distributing them as required.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Responsible for operating the warehouse machinery in a safe manner and reporting any equipment maintenance or problems to your immediate supervisor.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-years previous forklift and warehouse experience desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with WMS/ERP software preferred.
- Ability to operate JIB and Overhead cranes.
- Ability to operate Class IV Forklifts (Hyster 50 -170)
