We are seeking a Sales Tax Administrator to join our Indirect U.S. Tax team based in East Aurora, NY. This role supports a wide range of non-income tax compliance activities, including sales and use tax, property tax, and unclaimed property. You’ll collaborate closely with our offshore tax team and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate filings and compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain the tax due date listing to ensure timely completion of all monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions.
- Prepare and submit electronic tax returns and payments via state websites.
- Organize and maintain filing backups and state communications in designated folders.
- Process payment vouchers and manage related correspondence to state authorities.
- Support non-income tax audits by gathering required documentation.
- Assist with miscellaneous non-income tax filings, including annual reports, business licenses, and unclaimed property reporting.
- Review and validate tax exemption documentation from business units and suppliers.
- Provide responsive and professional support to internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with file organization and data management.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Comfortable collaborating in a team-oriented and open office environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and focus.
- Demonstrated growth mindset – curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Experience in sales/use tax, property tax, or non-income tax compliance.
