The Director of Operations plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensures delivery of quality healthcare services, achievement of operational KPIs and workforce management. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role will contribute to the scaling of services and driving operational efficiencies & effectiveness.
Essential Functions
- Under the direction of the COO, execute strategic initiatives tied to practice growth, service line expansion, and long-term organizational goals.
- Ensure delivery of quality healthcare through Patient Centered Medical Home Standards
- Management and constant oversight of productivity and resources to meet current and future patient volume demands.
- Ensure effective scheduling, staffing, and utilization across all clinic sites.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and lead improvement efforts to maximize capacity.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including clinic volumes, patient access metrics, and capacity utilization. Prepare and present data-driven reports to leadership to make operational and strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline administrative and operational tasks.
- Develop and monitor compliance of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the practice site and compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory and accreditation agencies.
- Oversee and ensures compliance with Environment of Care standards.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are in proper working condition.
- Serve as a participating member of the Quality Management Committee, representing clinic operations.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field
- 5 years in healthcare operations, clinical management, or a similar role; telehealth and/or start-up experience is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Strong analytical skills including data analysis including forecasting, developing reporting requirements, and summary level presentation of data trends and actionable insights.
- Strong ability to manage clinic building issues
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) - EPIC preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
