EPIC Support Analyst
The Site Specialist is a key member of El Centro de Corazon’s operations team and is responsible for optimizing the organization’s PM/EMR/Billing/Report system applications. The Site Specialist achieves these goals by creating benchmarking reports for the organization; providing analytic interpretation and education; ensuring benchmarking reports are interpreted and are understood by the organization’s leaders and support staff. The Site Specialist also provides training and support to clinical and non-clinical staff in the organization, focusing on assisting El Centro de Corazon to meet its operational, quality, and financial objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement, developing improvement approaches, creating process maps, tools, and educational materials.
Essential Functions
- Participate as a key member of the clinics’ operational/support team(s) to understand workflows, configuration/design decisions, and policy considerations, and to assist with project coordination.
- Maintain PM/EMR system setup. May include, but not be limited to, creating new Epic users, provider records, preference lists, fee schedules, letter templates, workstation and printer mapping.
- Support the training of staff; communicate updates/improvements to the PM/EMR systems.
- Provide direct support to clinical operations and patient care teams to facilitate the optimal use of the PM/EMR application in the clinic. Collaborate with clinic leadership and users to identify opportunities for efficiencies in clinic operations, clinical practice support, and improved health outcomes.
- Provide daily support to PM/EMR users through troubleshooting, coaching, and consulting.
- Identify, assess, and troubleshoot application and equipment issues as they occur, owning the problem and seeing it through to full resolution. Refer issues that require additional assistance to the organization’s appropriate vendor, including technical and workflow information necessary to resolve the issue. Communicate resolution to the user when completed.
- Collaborate with vendors to test new PM/EMR system features and upgrades prior to implementation.
- Design and develop custom reporting functionalities that will enable the organization to use data to monitor and improve organizational practices. Create custom reports in collaboration with organization leaders.
Participate in the selection process of standard reports to be utilized across the organization to evaluate quality and productivity performance indicators; ensure distribution of the information in a timely manner and develop a customer service process to respond to staff questions related to the reports. - Ensure Business Objects/Crystal/Clarity database functionality; reconcile data integrity of PM/EMR management systems; develop and implement data audit processes.
- Investigate report variances; identify and implement improvement activities; communicate with appropriate management teams.
- Maintain historical records, reports, and information related to PM/EMR systems.
- Monitor, analyze and summarize data and information collected through the organization’s data base warehouse; appropriately distribute key executive reports on progress related to performance indicators; transfer knowledge to management and staff effectively.
- Provide input to the organization’s budgeting process through report management, analyses, and benchmark-related information in order to support financial planning.
- Represent ECDC at external meetings, professional associations, industry-related organizations and others as requested.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or greater in mathematics, engineering, computer science, information systems, statistics, or a related field
- A history of academic and professional success
- Programming experience and a demonstrated interest in statistical analysis, informatics, analytics, or business intelligence is preferred
- Familiarity with SQL, Crystal Reports, SAP, Oracle, MS SQL Server or other Database Management systems is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

- Experience with data processing and microcomputer skills; demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with productivity management tools.

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
