What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Community Health Worker position at El Centro Family Health?
PURPOSE:
The Behavioral Health Community Health Worker (BH-CHW) will be an essential employee and resource to help ensure integrated care is taking place within the behavioral health department and assists where necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
No experience required.
Must obtain a CHW Certification within 2 years of date of hire.
Preferred
Certified Community Health Worker.
Bi-Lingual - Spanish and English verbal and written fluency.
Six months of clinical experiences in a clinical environment
Other Requirements:
- COVID vaccination is a requirement for all El Centro Family Health employees, on-site students and volunteers unless granted an exemption under applicable state or federal law.
- Tuberculin Skin Test (TST).
