Cashier Job Description
Location: 4608 S Cooper, Arlington, TX, 76017
We are seeking a friendly and reliable cashier to join our team at our Arlington location. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
- Redeem coupons and vouchers
- Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
- Bag, box or wrap packages
- Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
Requirements:
- Proven working experience in retail cashier or sales
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters etc)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills
- Sales skills
- High school degree
