Experienced Probate/ALTCS Paralegal/Legal Assistant wanted!
Elder Law of Arizona is a small law firm dedicated to protecting the aging and the disabled. We focus on long term care (ALTCS/VA) planning, special needs trusts, guardianships/conservatorships, estate planning/administration and probates. We are seeking a full-time paralegal/legal assistant to join our team.
Duties include:
- Prepare and finalize legal documents
- Maintain electronic case files and case scheduling
- Knowledge of CLIO software is a bonus
- Communication with clients
- Prepare court filings
- Scheduling and intake of potential new clients
- Case management, including file preparation
- Answer calls
- Proofreading
- Assisting other team members
Qualifications:
- At least two years experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred;
- Experience in Probate, ALTCS and/or Estate Planning
- A paralegal certificate would be a huge bonus, but is not required;
- Compassionate, kind, and good client service skills and a desire to help the elderly, the disabled, the incapacitated and their families;
- Highly motivated, efficient and dependable;
- Communicates well, both verbal and written;
- Willing and able to take instruction, both verbal and written;
- Ability to pay attention to details;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task/prioritize;
- Ability to work independently as well as with others;
- Problem-solver (How can you make the attorneys’ lives easier?.);
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- MUST be able to follow instructions;
- Great proof-reading skills are mandatory!

- Work well under pressure

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $40,000 to $64,000 per year for the right, well qualified individual.
