Responsibilities
(RN - Director of Nursing): What You’ll Lead & Own
- Nursing Operations & Staffing: Oversight of nurse staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and development across all shifts
- Clinical Quality & Outcomes: Assessment, planning, documentation, and delivery of high-quality nursing care
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaboration with physicians, pharmacy partners, consultants, and ancillary services
- Leadership Development: Direct supervision, coaching, and performance management of nursing leadership and staff
- Education & Training: Design and execution of orientation, in-service training, and ongoing clinical education
- Regulatory Excellence: Participation and leadership in Quality Management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Workforce Pipeline Development: May serve as Program Coordinator for the Nursing Assistant Training Program
(RN - Director of Nursing):
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NY required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory nursing leadership experience (DON or ADON level strongly preferred)
- Geriatric or long-term care experience highly valued
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and improve outcomes
