What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Cable Technician position at Electra Link Inc?

Electra Link is seeking a dedicated Low Voltage Cable Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will assist with the installation of various types of cabling in commercial settings. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working from lifts and ladders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pull, test, and terminate various types of cabling.
  • Follow directions from the team lead to ensure project success.
  • Install support structures, including ladders, racks, and j-hooks.
  • Work comfortably from 6ft, 8ft, and 10ft ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Perform cabling work in commercial new construction environments.
  • Proficiently use hand tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers, snips, levels).

Requirements:

  • Flexibility with availability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move 50lbs or more and stay mobile throughout the day.
  • Must pass a criminal history check and drug test.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude preferred, with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 Certification is a plus.
