What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Manufacturing Technician position at Electrical Automation Services?
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and related control wiring.
- Provide expertise in troubleshooting analog and digital controls associated with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.
- Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices, including encoders and load cells.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces, making logic modifications in ladder logic.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot both integrated and stand-alone graphic human-machine interfaces.
- Analyze communication protocols such as Profibus, serial, and industrial Ethernet.
- Utilize electrical schematics for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems is required.
- Preferred experience in troubleshooting and maintaining packaging equipment within a manufacturing setting.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing safety protocols (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, personal protective equipment, etc.) is preferred.
- PLC programming experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electrical encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics is essential.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
