Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Packer in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Packer is responsible for general production line work, packaging, labeling, and sorting of products. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Comply with all safety procedures as required by the Health & Safety Act and/or Company practices or procedures including but not limited to the wearing of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as specified by the Act or designated by the Company.
- Cleaning and preparation of work area
- Assisting team to progress order
- Performing quality checks as you go and communicate deficiencies to the operator / quality inspector/ supervisor.
- Maintain & improve housekeeping within his/her work area
- Responsible for any equipment that has been assigned, and also responsible for the returning of the equipment to its correct location when completed.
- Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase outflow
- Participate and complete all Health and Safety training or any other training mandated by the Company.
- Other duties assigned by the management team
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Graduate
- minimum 2 years’ work experience.
- Ability to meet quota and standards
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, midnights)
