Job Location: 8025 North Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX 78753
Shift: Sunday-: 7am-7pm, Wednesday: 7am-1pm

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Complete service order installation and network circuit troubleshooting.
- Perform installation of cage, cabinets, ladder rack, and fiber tray.
- Perform installation, termination, testing and labeling of cross connects including copper, COAX, and fiber.
- Perform remote hands services for clients including hardware installation, power strips, rails, cable management and client equipment reboot.
- Maintain physical security and access reports for annual Compliance certification.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security access control device failure.
- Handles the expedient resolution of all escalations and emergency response requests.
- Report status through ticketing system, shift reports and email.
- Maintain accurate records and document all problems including site computerized facility record databases and service order systems.
- In the event of a telecommunications or network failure, the Operations Technician will assist the Service Desk and NETENG/IT in resolution and documentation.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 – 5 years Data Center Operations experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Knowledge of data center electrical power generation and distribution, mechanical support equipment, HVAC, UPS, fire detection and suppression, building management and security systems.
- Knowledge of data center, security system and command center monitoring applications
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Possess the ability and desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands listed below must be met for the employee to perform essential job functions of the position.
- Remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period such as sitting or standing.
- Move within the office space, data center, and outdoor areas of the facility when required.
- Perform movements such as kneeling, bending, crouching, and use of hands to touch/feel machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Operate office machinery and equipment.
- May be required to occasionally lift or move objects that weigh up to 65 lbs.
