What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Element Materials Technology?
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Buyer to join our growing team based in Edinburgh. We are looking for a self-motivated, well-organised and hardworking individual who can work well as part of a team, be confident dealing with internal customers / colleagues and have experience in dealing with suppliers across the fleet function.
The role is part of the Procurement ops administration team and will work closely with Finance and the whole of the Element business operating the fleet (private cars & commercial vehicles).
Responsibilities
- Coordinating the supply chain of new vehicles, vehicle accessories, and support services
- Placing new vehicle orders, monitoring and tracking their progress, and updating drivers, management team and Procurement ops throughout the process
- Work closely with fleet vendors to ensure all costs are managed within set budgets and Element Fleet processes are followed including adherence to our vehicle policy
- Arranging and receiving new vehicle deliveries
- Maintaining accurate and organised documentation
- Developing and updating policies and procedures
Skills / Qualifications
- Previous experience working with fleet / commercial vehicle categories
- Excellent administration (Microsoft Office: Excel & Outlook)
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a professional manner
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective team player and communicator
