JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for vehicle and machinery maintenance and inspection. Maintains and repairs the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVACR.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs day-to-day repairs and skilled trades work, such as maintenance on environmental chambers, vehicles, machinery, shakers and amplifiers
- Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process
- Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary
- Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches
- May perform carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures
- May perform Safety Training
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform certain recurring work independently
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance, such as environmental chambers, vehicles, machinery, shakers and amplifiers
- Ability to maintain record management of stock room supplies, equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Skilled in electrical systems and general maintenance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in related area
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
