The Automation Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated systems and machinery within our manufacturing facility. This role involves working with advanced automation equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and minimizing downtime.
2nd shift - 2:45pm - 11pm
Pay will depend on experience!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on automated machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in automated systems.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces).
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize automation processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and improvements.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new automation equipment.
- Respond promptly to automation-related maintenance requests and emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as an automation technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLC programming.
- Proficiency with electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
