Job Summary

As a Principal Engineer - Data Analytics III, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced data analytics and machine learning solutions to solve complex business challenges. This highly visible individual contributor role requires strong technical acumen, business partnership, and exceptional communication skills to drive data-driven decisions across the organization. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, innovation, and strategic initiatives in a global manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze and interpret structured and unstructured datasets using statistical techniques, machine learning, and programming skills.

- Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms for business problem-solving.

- Deliver concise and impactful data insights through visualizations and presentations tailored to technical/non-technical stakeholders.

- Gather and translate business requirements to data-driven solutions; communicate recommendations and project impact clearly.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, architects, analysts, business stakeholders) to address complex business needs.

- Lead and resolve data-related incidents; document solutions and continuous improvements in data quality and processes.

- Mentor and coach team members on data science, analytics best practices, and new technologies.

- Support advancement of the organization’s data science strategic roadmap.

- Apply domain knowledge, particularly in supply chain or relevant industrial sectors.

Core Skills & Experience

- Data science tools: Azure Databricks, Power BI, Spark, Python, R, C, Excel (pivot tables).

- Strong experience in business-facing roles and cross-functional collaboration.

- Proven storytelling with data and ability to communicate technical insights to diverse audiences.

- Demonstrated impact on business outcomes through analytics solutions.

- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or engineering preferred; other sectors considered (excluding heavy financial).

- Minimum: BS with 5 years experience or MS with 3 years experience in relevant field.

- Supply chain analytics exposure.
