Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Wilmington, DE, Newton, MA, Indianapolis, IN, Durham, NC, Norfolk, VA, Mason, OH, Portland, ME St. Louis, MO, Wallingford, CT or Louisville, KY.
The Senior Researcher is responsible for prospective and retrospective health economic or epidemiologic research activities for Carelon Research clients.

Requires a MS, MPH or PharmD in epidemiology or health sciences or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in health service research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

How You Will Make An Impact
- Leads or supports scientific aspects of research activities as Principal Investigator in the following areas: research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, and reporting.
- Uses subject matter expertise in leading or supporting the development of protocols, statistical analysis plans, review of statistical output, reports, and publications.
- Manages the final quality and accuracy of study deliverables and presentation of such and facilitates collaboration among project team members towards their development.
- Manages relationship with Carelon Research clients, communicates scientific decisions, and presents key study insights to the client and other external stakeholders.
Requires a MS, MPH or PharmD in epidemiology or health sciences or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in health service research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities And Experiences
- Familiarity with outcomes research within a health plan or pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) context and/or understanding of the U.S. health care and pharmacy system strongly preferred.
- Ph.D. or MD strongly preferred.
- Postgraduate or post-doctoral training or relevant experience in conducting observational and/or prospective research studies preferred.
