• Location: On-site – Onalaska, WI
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Compensation: $7.25/hr
• Hours: 10–40 hours/week (flexible)
• Duration: Full school year, with potential for extension

Position Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in digital marketing, social media, reporting, content creation, client-facing campaign execution, and day-to-day administrative tasks that support a fast-paced marketing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support digital marketing campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, OTT streaming, and social media
• Capture and create engaging social media content both in the office and on site—looking for authentic, fun, and meaningful moments that align with EMG’s brand and mission
• Identify and act on real-world opportunities for content that supports brand growth and builds community
• Create and schedule posts for EMG and client social channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others)
• Research and incorporate trending topics and short-form video ideas into content planning
• Use tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Wix, Mailchimp, and Squarespace to support content creation
• Monitor performance using Google Analytics, ad dashboards, and other reporting tools
• Organize and maintain internal project files, media libraries, and campaign assets
• Support SEO tasks like keyword input and updating metadata
• Enter project-related expenses, log hours, and help track budgets
• Assist in compiling monthly client reports with campaign insights and performance highlights
• Collaborate with the team in weekly meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional projects

What We're Looking For

• Current college students preferred, especially those studying Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Specific majors are not required
• A genuine passion for social media. You enjoy spotting trends, creating content, and finding new ways to connect with audiences
• Interested in getting behind the camera and capturing content in real time, both in the office and on location
• Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, along with an interest in short-form video and emerging trends
• Experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, website builders, or email platforms is a plus
• A self-starter with a proactive mindset who thrives in a collaborative team environment
• Detail-oriented, organized, and open to learning new tools and tactics
