Position Overview:

As a Fractional Controller at Elevated Advisory and Accounting, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic financial oversight and guidance to our diverse clientele. This full time, flexible position is designed for professionals who excel in financial management and are adept at leading accounting functions on a fractional basis. You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency. Your role will involve collaborating closely with clients to understand their unique needs and delivering actionable insights to support their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the financial operations for multiple clients, including preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards. Stay updated on changes in regulations and advise clients accordingly.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions, enhance accuracy, and increase efficiency. Develop and document best practices for financial management.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for financial matters. Understand client needs, provide strategic advice, and address any financial concerns promptly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the internal team to ensure seamless integration of accounting processes and to support the delivery of high-quality services. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare actionable recommendations to help clients achieve their financial objectives.
  • Reporting: Generate and present detailed financial reports to clients and senior management, highlighting key metrics, performance indicators, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in financial management and oversight.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, MS Excel). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting standards. Experience with process improvement and financial analysis.
  • Attributes: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to financial management.

Work Schedule:

  • Flexibility: This is a fractional position with flexible working hours, tailored to fit the needs of both the clients and the individual with an expectation of 40-45 hours per week
