A mining equipment manufacturer in Tazewell, VA is currently looking to hire a welder.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Clamps, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
- Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials
- Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and frequent changes
- Communicates with management, production control, quality, and other shop personnel or assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
Qualifications and Skills
- 10 years of experience in welding and fabrication
- BSkilled in at least two welding processes
- Able to weld in all welding positions
- Strong understanding of the use of precision measuring instruments and the application of these instruments
