Summary of Responsibilities
As the first point of contact with customers, cashiers play a critical role in providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service. The cashier will demonstrate a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, as well as excellence and efficiency in the workplace.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure it is ready for business every day.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Accurately complete transactions; accurate cash handling; processing accurate payments.
- Handle and manage rapid cash flow and be 100% accountable for company assets and property.
- Follow daily opening and closing procedures accurately.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Great customer service skills.
- Communicate effectively through speech, reading, and writing.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift a moderate amount of weight.
