What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wheelchair Transport Driver position at Elite Medical Transport of Mansfield?
Elite Medical Transport of Mansfield is searching for experienced Accessible Wheelchair Van Drivers. We are willing to train the right candidate for the position.
Candidate must safely operate a wheelchair van transporting clients to and from appointments and required treatments.
Duties to include but not limited to
- Operate a manual lift to safely load and unload wheelchairs
- Operates safety lockdown system and ensures wheelchairs are properly locked down and secured.
- Monitors the use of adaptive safety device and provides level of support and intervention required to ensure client’s safety and well-being in accordance with existing behavior plans and human right regulation.
- Provide supervision and caretaking functions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Must have an Ohio driver license and a clean driving record
- Employees are required to pass screening before hire.
- Must be First Aid/CPR certified (provided by company if not current)
- Must be DRIVE certified or willing to become DRIVE certified (provided by company )
- Must have a clean driving record and have the ability to pass pre employment background check as well as pre-employment drug screening.
- Must have and maintain a clean, professional image.
ALL training is paid for and you are paid for the time you spend training.

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
