Job description

Driver Associate

The job of a Delivery Associate is to deliver packages for Amazon to their customers. It is a very physically and mentally demanding job. You are required to follow all driving laws and safety procedures. You will conduct vehicle inspections prior to and returning from your route. Load packages onto vehicle according to company specifications. Maintain communication with team leads/managers throughout the day. You will deliver approximately 250-350 packages a day during your assigned route. You will get in and out of the vehicle over 200 times a day. You must be able to lift/carry 50lb packages. You should be a team player, who is customer focused. We deliver in all weather conditions, and you are required to climb multiple flights of stairs. Safety will always be your priority while delivering customers’ packages, as you would want your packages delivered. This is a performance-based job, and you must be able to meet all safety and delivery metrics.

Requirements:

· Must be 21 years of age.

· Must pass 7 years background and driving record check.

· Must pass drug test. No medical marijuana cards.

· Must follow all driving laws.

· Must be able to use current technology.

· Must be able to lift 50lbs & be able to carry upstairs.

· Must be able to communicate efficiently.

· Must be 100% reliable. Be on time and ready to work.

· Must be able to stand, walk quickly, sit and drive for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to reach and lift with both hands, as well as crouch, stoop and bend with both legs and have good manual dexterity.

· Must have the ability to use multiple aspects of vision including but not limited to near, far, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to refocus.

Skills:

· Strong customer service.

· Competitive get it done attitude.

· Experience with delivery driving in large vehicles, but willing to train.

· Be able to hold yourself accountable throughout the day.

· Be able to access the situation to make safe and responsible choices.

Work Environment:

Driver associates drive company provided vehicles in urban, suburban, and rural areas while using provided mobile devices. Work conditions include but are not limited to rain, wind, and heat. You should be comfortable working alone, as you will be responsible for managing the timely delivery of packages. You are given a predetermined route that is accessible on the mobile device provided.

Work Schedule:

· Full-time positions available.

· 9–10-hour shifts.

· Start time 9:45am.

· 4 days per week.

· Overtime after 40hours.

· 30-minute unpaid lunch and two15-minute paid breaks

· Must work either Saturday or Sunday (you pick either day or both)

Benefits:

· $18.25/hour rate of pay.

· $25 Safety Bonus

o Safety bonus paid weekly, based on you meeting your weekly scorecard metrics.

o It’s an extra $.69/hour based on 4 days/36 hours.

· 9-hour Incentive

o Finish your route in 7-8 hours and get paid for 9 hours.

§ Work 8 hours at $18.25 but get paid for 9 hours. It is like getting paid $20.53 an hour.

o **Must qualify for Safety bonus. **

· PTO (Paid Time Off) earn up to 2 weeks per year.

Pay: $18.25 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
