Our growing hospitality company is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of our premises. The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as; painting, installing, troubleshoot, repair and maintain our facilities and our facility equipment according to safety guidelines.
We’d like our Maintenance Technician to be a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
A sampling of responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs, electrical panels, etc.)
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace door handles, adjust loose screws, etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
- Use of a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods,
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certificate in building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; speak English and write English. This position is very active and required standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Other:
- This is a full-time position which requires 40 hours a week.
- This position will work on Hilton Head Island, SC.
- The work schedule may vary, the position may be on call and weekends are required. Work schedule will probably be Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Off Wednesday & Thursday.
- Have personal tools.
- Uniform will be provided.
- Vehicle will be provided while performing work duties.
- This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license.
