Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, including repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
Essential Functions
· Organize and oversee the schedules and work of maintenance staff
· Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance or repair activity
· Effectively communicate will all departments
· Keep inventory records of parts, supplies, and tools
· Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
· Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
· Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining all maintenance personnel
· Responsibly handle emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance
· Oversee compliance with all applicable regulations
· Participate in walk-throughs, meetings, audits, and tours with government agencies and customers
· Investigate complaints within the Maintenance Department
· Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures
· Display a professional attitude
· Attend all applicable meetings and trainings
· Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor
· Enforce and comply with all of Elite Spice’s policies, procedures, general safety laws and regulations, food safety guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices
Qualifications
· 5 years of mechanical experience preferred
· 2 years in a supervisory role preferred
· Ability to be organized and follow up on tasks
· Ability to receive and provide instruction in a positive manner
· Possess interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills
· Prior knowledge of food manufacturing processes
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work in a team setting and independently
· Proficient with Microsoft word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, adobe reader/acrobat
