What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Elite Transportation, LLC?
Essential Functions

- Complete new hire and DOT employment and background verifications.
- Process new hire paperwork to establish electronic personnel files and Driver Qualification Files as applicable.
- Establish and maintain Hours of Service log audit system (ELD’s) and online driver training portal.
- Maintain driver annual performance evaluation files.
- Complete employment verifications for former team members as applicable within 24-hours of receiving request.
- Manage and ensure Drug and Alcohol testing program (DOT and Non-DOT) is in full compliance.
- Manage, maintain and ensure compliance of all standardized processes for driver background checks, pre-employment medical screening, DOT Physicals, licenses, medical certifications & annual reviews.
- Maintaining driver DOT files and qualifications to ensure compliance with all FMCSA regulations.
- Review/process on all DOT Inspections, Citations and violations; take appropriate action to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Develop and maintain efficient safety performance standards, procedures and policies.
- Reviews periodic safety standards and policies for compliance with federal, state and local laws.
- Monitor compliance of Fleet operations to ensure that all personnel comply with company administrative policies and procedures, as they apply to DOT compliance.
- Refers any unresolved safety issues to HR/Safety Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Answer phone and field incoming calls, and respond to company emails, as applicable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
