What are the responsibilities and job description for the Softball Field Attendant - Seasonal position at Elk Grove Park District?
Hours: Monday through Thursday Evenings
Hiring Range: $14.00 - $15.00
JOB SUMMARY
Prepare softball fields for play by setting up bases, mounds, etc. Also responsible for opening and closing of the complex.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must be responsible and able to keep track of supplies and equipment, including inventory.
- Responsible for monitoring field light usage.
- Must be able to assemble equipment.
- Must be prompt and present when scheduled.
- Must be able to set up and take down athletic equipment.
- Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
- Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must collect game results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate in various situations.
- Knowledge of equipment.
- Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
- Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
- General work area is outdoors.
- Exposures to dust, fumes and loud noises.
- Subject to modified/flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must work around the general population.
- Must work under supervision and direction of the Athletic Supervisor.
- Able to work under stressful situations, including the ability to respond quickly and accurately to any and all emergencies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must maintain CPR certification.
Salary : $14 - $15
