Part-Time Certified Pharmacy Technician

Ella Community Pharmacy is a small, independent retail pharmacy that is continuing to grow. Position Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the pharmacy technician will process prescriptions for dispensing to patients (data entry, insurance billing, counting/filling prescriptions, etc.), work to maintain proper store inventory (restocking daily orders, placing daily orders), maintain accurate pharmacy records (filing paper prescriptions), and provide excellent customer service to customers in-store or over the phone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficient in current technology system(s) to perform the following tasks: Enter and process prescriptions, maintain updated patient profiles, take detailed notes related to customer needs, process refills, and learn to manipulate PioneerRx Software effectively
• Accurately and timely adjudicate prescriptions for dispensing in-store and for home delivery, to maintain a successful daily workflow process
• Package medications for facilities and compliance packaging program
• Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory
• Assist walk-in customers and callers with general and customer service concerns
• Provide superior customer service to all patients and medical professionals
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• Retail pharmacy technician experience (chain or independent)
• Experience in customer service
• Ability to work weekdays and alternating Saturdays

• Technological literacy in Windows and Microsoft programs, and strong typing skills

Desirable Qualifications (not required):

• Previous experience in an independent pharmacy setting
• Spanish language skills
• National CPhT Credentials
• PTCB Certification

Education:

A verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
