We have an immediate opening for a Machine Operator in our Lawrenceville, GA facility. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The Machine Operator is an operational role that will be responsible for performing a wide variety and operations including setting up and running a multitude of industrial grade machines to produce metal based components.

Your Solution Partner.
We have an immediate opening for a Machine Operator in our Lawrenceville, GA facility. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The Machine Operator is an operational role that will be responsible for performing a wide variety and operations including setting up and running a multitude of industrial grade machines to produce metal based components.
Job Responsibilities:
- Setting up, running, and operating Press Punch and Chicago Presses
- Assembling subcomponents in reference to drawings
- Performing mechanical operations such as drilling and tapping holes
- Measuring and inspecting parts to ensure they meet the tolerances on drawings
- Installing kingserts and helicoils into tapped holes and perform repairs if necessary
- Cleaning up and deburring parts when necessary
- Operating Haegar equipment and install hardware
- Operating tapping equipment, drill presses, and a manual mill machine
- Collaborating amongst the team and providing support to other Machine Operators when needed
- Following established methods and sequence of operations
- Reviewing detailed drawings and BOMs to determine process steps when not well defined
- Completing quarterly Quality Assurance training in QMIS
- Understanding and executing Elma/Optima workmanship standards, Manufacturing Procedures and Housekeeping Guidelines
- All other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 - 3 years related experience required
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints to drill, punch, tap, countersink, and assemble subassemblies
- Must have a basic understanding of quality and safety standards as it relates to Machine Operation and production
- Manual dexterity required
- Must have the ability to apply basic mathematical skills
- Familiarity with using various mechanical and electrical hand tools such as power screw drivers, crimpers etc is a plus!
- The ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds
- Understanding drawings, dimensions, tolerances
- Must be team oriented and practice professional communication skills
