YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Fleet Coordinator oversees and maintains our work vehicles to ensure we're always ready to respond to a job. This involves regularly inspecting vehicles, identifying maintenance and repair needs, and proactively scheduling services before breakdowns happen. You maintain updated repair records and ensure all vehicles are properly licensed, registered, insured, and compliant with regulations. As needed, you schedule appointments with external vendors and mechanics for specialized services and repairs.
You maintain our spare parts, tools, and equipment inventory, promptly ordering more supplies before we run out. Utilizing Geotab, you monitor vehicle performance and driver behavior and use this data to identify trends and implement strategies for optimizing fleet operations. In case of an accident, the Fleet Coordinator handles all aspects of the insurance claim, including documentation, communicating with insurance providers, and following up to ensure timely resolution.
FLEET COORDINATOR REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of fleet management experience, preferably within the HVAC or plumbing industries
- Proficiency with computers and programs like Microsoft Office
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field like logistics, business administration, or supply chain management
- Experience with fleet management software like Geotab
