We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage patient records and ensure all medical records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Epic for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Stay informed about dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and prosthodontics to provide comprehensive support to the dental team.
Requirements
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy is essential.
- Experience with X-ray procedures is preferred.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing excellent patient care.
- Previous experience in a dental assistant role is preferred but not required.
