Overview
The Attendance Coordinator is a member of the Revenue Cycle Management team and reports to Shellie See, Utilization Review Director. The mission of Embarks’ Attendance Coordinator is to first seek to understand the core purpose, values, culture, norms, and processes of Embark. To support the department, the Attendance Coordinator is responsible for reviewing chart notes in the EHR system, summarizing activity, and entering attendance into the insurance billing software. The purpose of the review is to ensure all services rendered are captured, quantified, and revenue is maximized. Timeliness is important to ensure accurate revenue recognition, prompt submissions of claims to the respective payors, and ultimately reimbursement for the services rendered.
The Attendance Coordinator will have an onboarding period to orient to the industry, managers, and people and is to continually have a, “seek to understand before being understood” mindset, especially during the onboarding period. The Attendance Coordinator is someone who strives to serve and help others. This is critical while working to collect, from both payers and the private sector, for the services rendered and to-be rendered. It positions the individual to assist our service partners to meet the needs of referents, parents, employees, and students in an evolving market.
Once fully on-boarded, the Attendance Coordinator will also prioritize program culture and norms, build upon, and optimize systems and processes, build upon payor, and program leader relationships, and optimize the financial performance of the company.
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00/hour

Qualifications
- High School/GED required, Associate degree preferred
- HIPAA Certification required upon employment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA Guidelines
- Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic terms, and treatment modalities.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong and professional communication skills
- Patience and ability to manage stress and maintain confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter, self-sufficient, self-confident leading to an ability to create a system for medical records and communication with Embark families in multiple programs
